Typically I take a look at just Saturday’s games in the Friday Mass, and I then look at Sunday’s games in the Sunday Sermon. But I’m going to be busy on Saturday and possibly a little hungover on Sunday, so I’m going to combine the whole weekend’s fixtures in tonight’s mass.
Leicester vs Crystal Palace (Saturday)
Weirdly, I’m probably going to go for the scorelines 2-1 and 1-2, whilst also hedging the 1-1 scoreline. I can see this game going either way, so I don’t want to heavily lean in one direction or the other. And I do feel that if one team goes ahead then they will be pegged back. If it does go 1-1 early on in the game then I’ll probably trade out. If it’s 1-1 in the latter stages of the game then I’ll stay in and see if there’s a winner whilst also trying to reduce the liability on the 2 other scorelines.
Spurs vs Everton (Saturday)
I’ll be leaning heavily on Spurs win for this match. I’ll be opting for 2-0, 2-1, and hedging AOH. When the goals start going in, I’ll possibly be looking at removing liability from those scorelines depending on the time of the goals.
The other 2 Saturday games I’ve not really got an interest in. So, for Sunday’s games…
Aston Villa vs Chelsea (Sunday)
I’d be opting for 0-2 and 1-2. I’d probably hedge the 0-1 scoreline too. I see Villa as a tough nut to crack, with no team scoring more than 1 goal against them at home since the start of the new season. Chelsea have a lot of attacking potential, but I can’t see them scoring too many goals against Villa.
Liverpool vs Man City (Sunday)
I can’t see Liverpool winning this game at all, despite the midweek 1-7 thrashing of Rangers. I feel Liverpool have let the opposition have a fair few opportunities, and with Haaland in the prolific form, he could be in for quite the afternoon. I’ll be looking at 2 takes for this game. With the AOA (any other away) odds at 5-1 then I’ll be looking to back this scoreline pre-kick-off. Once the game has kicked off, I’d also look to see if Liverpool take the lead, and if they do, I’ll be looking at laying them. Going off their recent performances, I can’t see them going ahead, but it’s good to be aware of this in-match opportunity.
If I do manage to find myself with a bit of time, I’ll try and revisit these games and hopefully go ahead with the Sunday Sermon, but I don’t want to promise anything. What kind of priest would I be lying to my flock! Right, with that I’ll bid thee goodnight. Good night and God bless my betting brethren. Amen.
