Using the Gods to beat the odds.

The Sunday Sermon – 6th Nov ’22

I took another couple of small blows yesterday, so I’ve been a bit more selective in the matches I’ve chosen to trade today. I’ve only picked out two matches to trade, the other games I thought could have gone either way so I’ve decided to leave them alone. For the Chelsea vs Arsenal game, both teams are very similarly priced to win the game, so that was a tough one to call so I decided to leave it. For the Spurs vs Liverpool game you can not be sure which Liverpool will turn up. If Klopp returns to the old familiar formation as they did on Tuesday night, then I can see Liverpool doing well. If Klopp persists with the new formation then I can see Spurs doing well. I’ve been burnt badly with Liverpool the last two weeks against very weak opposition, so I’ve decided to leave them well alone. For the West Ham vs Crystal Palace game I was tempted to trade on the 1-0 scoreline and trade out when a good profit is showing. But it’s not a trade I’m 100% struck on it. I’ll see when the time gets nearer. So, here are the two games I have decided to trade:

Aston Villa vs Man Utd
The way Man Utd are playing and getting results at the moment, I can see them getting a result here, but it’s going to be tough against a Villa side with a new manager on board (beware the new manager bounce). My gut feeling is a narrow win for Man Utd, but after consulting my Bible it doesn’t seem as straight forward as I might have first thought. Aston Villa could have a chance here to upset the travelling support. So with this in mind I’ll be opting for 1-2, 2-1, and 0-2, whilst also hedging the scorelines 0-1, 0-0, and 1-1.

Southampton vs Newcastle
I’m a lot more confident with my predictions for this game. I’ll be opting for 1-2 and 0-2, whilst hedging 0-1, 1-1, and AOA.

These predictions are all based off the current odds available, without knowing how any of the teams will line-up. They may change if there are any significant changes. I’m out for dinner at 2.30pm today, so depending on how things go I may or may not trade the two matches mentioned above. I may just trade the one, and if I had to choose then I would select the Southampton/Newcastle game. Good luck if you are trading today. May the Lord be with you. Always.
