Good to see you all for this week’s Friday Night Mass. Some good matches to trade from this round of Premier League fixtures. So without further ado, I’ll crack on with it…

Man City vs Brentford
For this match I see myself in a very similar position as to what went on last week. There is a big question mark over whether or not Haaland will start, and this will determine how I will approach the game in terms of scorelines selected. I do think Brentford will offer a tough game in the opening stages, but their defence hasn’t exactly been watertight whilst on their travels. Aston Villa and Newcastle have popped 4(+) goals against them recently, and Fulham popped three against them at the start of the season. So with this in mind then I would hedge the AOH scoreline, and probably bet on it outright should Haaland start alongside Foden. I’d also opt for the scorelines 2-0 and possibly also 3-0. My Bible says that there’s an almost 50% chance the scoreline will be either 2-0 or AOH. So I’m quietly confident with those selections.

Liverpool vs Southampton
I’m going for a similar set of scoreline selections as to the Man City vs Brentford game. I’ll be opting to hedge the AOH, 3-0 and 1-0 scorelines, whilst betting outright on the scorelines 2-0, 2-1, 1-2. I’ll probably incorporate these in a nice little dutch bet, or bet on these outright. It all depends on how confident I am with my selections. I’ll decide nearer to kick-off when I’ll known each teams starting eleven.

Spurs vs Leeds
After a very good start to the season, Spurs seem to be faltering of late. But I’ve got a good feeling they’ll be getting back on track in this game against Leeds. Apart from a surprise victory against Liverpool away from home, Leeds have struggled. I fully expect three points for Spurs in this game and my predicted scorelines reflect this. I’m going to hedge AOH and 1-0, and bet outright on 2-1, 3-1, and 2-0.

EDIT (Saturday afternoon – 12:09pm) – Man City vs Brentford – I’ve decided to outright bet on AOH, whilst hedging 2-0, 2-1, 3-1. Different way of doing things but thought I’d give it a try. See how this goes.

Also, I’ve decided that rather than try and trade two games at once (Liverpool vs Southampton and Spurs vs Leeds), I’ve decided I’ll trade the Liverpool vs Southampton game and trade the Wolves vs Arsenal game taking place later in the evening. With Spurs being a bit unpredictable of late it’s probably a wise decision. For the Wolves vs Arsenal game I’d opt for the 1-2 and 0-2 scorelines, and hedging a few scores around those selections.
