I’m typing this having just come off the back off a £15 loss on tonight’s 1-1 draw between Aston Villa and Wolves. This is after missing the opportunity to trade the Man Utd vs Bournemouth game on Tuesday night. After doing the research for the United game, and selecting my correct score picks, I had to abandon any hope of trading that game due to the regular Tuesday night 5-a-side game that only had 6 players available on Monday night, and most likely looking to be called off, miraculously finding another 4 players, meaning it could go ahead. This was frustrating because it meant I couldn’t trade the game, as I typically don’t bother trading unless I can keep a close eye of what is happening. Equally frustrating was the fact that I would have traded the 2-0 and AOH correct scores. meaning I would have seen a nice green result from that game.
Weirdly I’m not too bothered. It’s just frustrating. The green would have been nice. But knowing I selected scorelines for the United/Bournemouth game that would have seen me with a nice green is also quite comforting. Although obviously not as comforting as making money. I realise that if I am to become a sports trader, then I just need to take the hits and roll with them. It just seems that lately, if things can go against me, then they will. But that’s the way it seems. Obviously it’s not always the case and I can’t take these things personally. There’s no trading God up there trying to make life hard for me, it’s just trading! I’m going to go through periods like this. And that’s what I need to do – ensure I get through these periods and get to the other side. Because on that other side there will be times when seemingly everything will be going my way and I’ll hopefully be making lots of profit.
Tomorrow I’ll be hoping to trade the Chelsea vs Man City game. I’ll be looking at the odds before the game, but previous experience is telling me the correct scorelines of 0-2, 0-1, 1-2, 1-3 and AOA will be good to cover. I’m not too hopeful of Chelsea’s chances, and I don’t think they’re quite the Chelsea of previous years. Also, with City dropping points at the weekend, I think Pep will be pushing his players to get nothing short of 3pts.
Good luck if you’re trading. And may the Lord be with you. Always.
