Hello my good people. Hope we’re having a good week. After last week’s results, I’ve been brought back down to Earth with a bump. The reason being, is that the fire and forget trades that I thought were going to be a game changer for me, well – it turns out that I goosed up on my calculations and this might not be the case. I think they’re still viable, it’s just the fact that the return isn’t as high as I expected and I’ll have to wait much longer before giving up the day job.

So, off the back of this, what I’ve decided to do, is that instead of relying on one trading market for income, I’ll be exploring other avenues to help get me where I want to be. I’ll be looking at getting at least another 2 or 3 additional routes to help increase my profits. Having these additional avenues of income will hopefully also reduce the volatility of my trades. If I have a losing trade in one area, hopefully the other 2 trades will counteract this and reduce the loss, and even possibly push my trades into profit. This will hopefully help with the mental side of my trading too. This is going to take time to put together, with a lot of research, and a lot of testing to ensure what I’m doing is profitably viable.

Another thing I need to look into, is the spreadsheet I use to determine my trades (otherwise known as The Bible). The Bible needs to be updated so that it runs a lot smoother than it currently does. It’s not the best usability-wise for identifying trades when there are several games kicking off at the same time. This needs to change. Once I’ve got my various models up and running, I need The Bible to be able to tell me what trades to put on at the push of a button. At the moment there’s a fair amount of manual inputting, and this can cause issues at a moment when I don’t want issues to occur. So, next week I’ll be spending a fair amount of time looking at getting this sorted. Hopefully I’ll get it done in time for next weekend’s games. Talking of which…

This Weekend’s Games
I’ve not really had too much time to look into all this weekend’s games, but the games I have managed to look at are Leicester vs Arsenal, Bournemouth vs Man City, and Palace vs Liverpool. For the Arsenal game I’m looking at 0-1, 0-2, 2-1, and 1-2, hedging the scorelines 0-0 and AOA. For the Bournemouth vs Man City game I’ll be looking at 0-2, 1-2, and AOA. For the Crystal Palace vs Liverpool I’d be looking at 1-2, but with the possibility of laying Liverpool too. I probably need to look a bit more into that game before deciding what I’m going to do, if I’ll be trading it at all.
