Hello my brethren, my Brothers, my God lovers. I hope you’ve had a good week. I’ve had a good week. Not a ‘3-digit green’ good week, but a good week nonetheless. I managed to make £79.79, which I’m very happy with. I managed to get on the Arsenal vs Palace trades I identified in my Sunday Mass blog post, but didn’t find the time to trade the Man Utd vs Fulham game. The Arsenal vs Palace trades made sure I ended the week on a high, and thankfully I was too busy to trade the United vs Fulham game so I didn’t bother. Although my shout of 2-1 meant that anyone trading this game might have been lucky enough to get out for a green before United scored their third goal.
For the Saturday Premier League games I got caught in a bit of a predicament. We were out shopping all day as a family, so I decided to take my laptop out with us, knowing full well we’d still be out when the games kicked off. For the 3pm games there were no games that I fancied, so I left them well alone. However, for the early evening kick-off games, after doing some pre-match stats work, I decided to trade both games (Man City vs Burnley FA Cup game, and the Chelsea vs Everton Premier League game). There was no problem putting the trades on pre-match, the only problem being was that I would be driving home whilst the games were still being played, thus making it difficult to manage my trades in-play. For this I relied on my partner to relay the current situation for both games every couple of minutes or so. This proved to be highly stressful, and not exactly a situation I would want to repeat any time soon (and I imagine neither would they). For the City game I wasn’t too bothered as this proved to be a relatively straight forward City win, but the Chelsea game proved to be a bit more of a headache. In the end I had to pull the car over to a safe spot so I could have a look at the game myself. I was on the right side of the trade, but then Everton scored just as I was about to cash out. After a couple of minutes letting the market settle down I decided to cash out for a loss. This was a hard decision to take, but I couldn’t concentrate on the trade fully so I decided to take myself out of the situation. I also cashed out of the City game, as I couldn’t concentrate on that fully either. This meant the profit for that match wasn’t fully realised, which although disappointing, it meant the pressure was relieved and I didn’t have to bother managing my trades any more. After all that hassle, I was just glad to come out of both games with an overall green. This brought home the importance of setting time aside so that I can trade properly and focus 100% on the trading.
The other games for week 19 were relatively straight forward in comparison. Here are my trades for week 19:

Week 19 was a step in the right direction in terms of profit. It was a good lift after last week’s mediocre green, and it was a green I was very happy with. Here’s the table of my weekly profit and loss amounts, with a cumulative picture of my journey so far:

This week is international week, so I’m going to give myself the week off from trading. I may post on here a couple of times, but apart from that there won’t be much trading action from myself. I’ll probably refine my stats work to make it more efficient. I may even try to have a look at automating it. But I’m imagining that this will take a couple of months at least, but there’s no problem with making a start on it. If you are trading then good luck. And may the Lord be with you. Always!
