Using the Gods to beat the odds.

Results For Week 24

Well, if last week was the week from hell, this one wasn’t much better. It was another loss. Another big loss. The second biggest losing week of the season so far. Second only to last week! The loss of £222 was hard to take, but it’s necessary if I want to make it in this game. It just seems as though I’m taking loss after loss at the moment. I think when I look at my stats, for the fire-and-forget trades, I must have hit about 10 on the bounce. But you know what they say, “if you are going through hell, keep going”. And that’s exactly what I have been doing, and I will keep doing, as the stats will eventually play out in my favour. It doesn’t help the fact that I’ve only been able to do primarily doing fire-and-forget trades towards the end of the week, as I’ve not really been in a position to trade manually due to the WiFi on holiday not being the best, AND I wasn’t able to give my trades 100% of my attention. Being able to trade manually might have helped me lessen the losses, but it is what it is.

Here’s the trades for week 24:

So, as you can see, not the best of weeks. Lessened slightly with the City vs Arsenal and Everton vs Newcastle trades. I came out of the Everton vs Newcastle trades early, costing me about £25 in the process. I still need to do the research on whether or not leaving my trades alone would have meant a bigger profit margin. This will probably come in the close season, ready to attack the new season. I think I’ve got a lot of things to look at in the close season. Things that I’ve spotted that may need further looking into and could prove to be quite profitable. We’ll see. I have all these good intentions, but then I find I do nothing and it’s all a big rush to get things done 2 weeks until the new season kicks off. Anyway, here’s a breakdown of my weekly P&L, and an updated graph of my journey so far:

As you can see, overall I’m still in profit, but that dip in the graph does need to be addressed. I’ve gone further away from my £1,000 milestone, so I’ll be looking to try and get over that line before the season ends.

Well, here’s to hoping this weekend proves a lot better than this week. Here’s to a good green. And if you’re having a trade yourself, then may the Lord be with you. Always.
