Results For Week 26

Meh! That’s my thoughts for this week’s results. Meh! Week 26 got off to a bad start, but things turned around towards the end and I could have left the trade on Monday to post a nice little green, but I decided to go for it, to no avail. Here are the Week 26 trades anyway:

As I said, the trading got off to a bad start with the early kick-off game, Leeds vs Newcastle, not coming good. I had 1-2 and 2-1 covered, and it was looking good when Newcastle took the lead, but with Leeds scoring in the 79th minute, all my trades for this game were basically out, unless Newcastle were going to score two goals for my AOA trade selection, which was sounding extremely unlikely listening to the commentary team covering the match. Next up was Palace vs Bournemouth and Man United vs Wolves. I was quietly confident in the Man United result, but didn’t have much hope for the Palace game. I was going to manually trade the United game alongside the fire-and-forget trade, but I didn’t get around to it in the end due to family commitments. I would have possibly traded out at the half time mark had I of traded the game, but it’s all probablys and maybes.

The following day, I was hoping for some sort of result for the Everton vs Man City game, but I got no joy. I had 0-2 covered as well as AOA, but the score ended up smack bang in the middle of both. If I had manually traded this game, instead of using fire-and-forget trades, I reckon I would have came out with a green for this game, but again family commitments meant my concentration was elsewhere so I didn’t bother. I really do need to start setting dedicated time aside if I want to make it big in the sports trading game. I touched lucky with the Brentford vs West Ham game, which helped limit the damage from the other losing trades.

Onto the Leicester vs Liverpool game, and because I would be travelling home whilst the match was on, I decided not to bother with trading any correct scorelines, and just go for the lay of Liverpool. Granted, I expected Leicester to put up a bit more of a fight, but Liverpool are on a hell of a run and I should have known better. Sadly the correct score trades I would have potentially done would have seen me with a nice little green. And I guess that’s the story of Week 26. It was a week of missed opportunities. I held back, and I paid the price by not maximising my opportunities. I need to learn from this and be more of a risk taker. You get nowhere sitting on your hands. You need to risk money to make money. And that’s what I’m going to try and do for the last games of the Premier League season. Anyway, regardless, all in all I lost £10 so not a bad week all things considered. It could have been worse. Here’s how Week 26 compares to my other trading weeks, and here’s how the journey is going so far:

The week was a loss. But only a slight loss when compared to the other weeks. So all’s good. I’m going to try and get past that £1K mark, or at least try and get 2 weeks of green. There’s not too many games grabbing me looking at the Premier League games this weekend. But I’m sure there will be plenty of opportunities to trade. I may even trade the Man City vs Real Madrid tomorrow night if I’m feeling brave. Good luck if you’re going to trade it too. Or any trading for that matter. And as ever, may the Lord be with you. Always.
