Results For Week 21 – 2024-25

Word up, muddy funksters! It seems like the big guy from upstairs is really looking out for me of late. For Week 21 I was very fortunate to come away with a profit of £69, when in other weeks I might have been looking at a bit of a loss. I mentioned in my last blog that I was going away for a long weekend with my family, which I did. I did take my laptop away with me, and I fully intended to do some trading. The thing is, when the time came to start looking at what trades to do, I couldn’t get a good enough signal to put my trades on (if you’ve been the Lakes, you know the signal isn’t always the best). So, eventually I just decided to not bother to try and catch those trades, and I didn’t bother to catch any trades for the rest of the day either. In fact, because I missed the trades on the Saturday, I decided not to bother doing any trading for the Sunday also, as we were out and about again and I couldn’t be bothered getting my laptop out every 30 minutes or so. I only decided to trade the late games on the Monday night when we eventually arrived home and I had time to do so. So, here are those trades that contributed to the profit for Week 21:

As you can see, there were only the trades on the Thursday and Monday that I managed to carry out. With me missing out on the Friday and a whole weekend of trading, I decided to have a look at the trades that I missed out on and worked out whether I would have made a profit or a loss. It turns out that I would have potentially made a loss of around £90. So thankfully, I was kind of made up I couldn’t get any reception on the Saturday, as otherwise I would have been looking at an overall small loss.

Here’s how Week 21 measures up against the other weeks, and what effect this reasonable profit has had on my journey so far:

I guess the big question is (and it’s the same question as last week)…can this season be salvaged and will I make a profit? I’m going to be realistic and say ‘no’. But I guess that may be the pessimist in me. And the way the season has gone, I think I’m more inclined to say this. But it would be a great achievement if I was going to pull this season around with 3 weeks left. I say three weeks, but I’m probably not going to trade the last 2 weeks, although I’ll have to see how I get on. The last 2 weeks can produce some strange results, with some teams already on their Summer holidays, whilst others still have things to play for. But I do remember the last weekend of last season where I missed out on a great opportunity to make a decent level of profit. Instead I bottled it and settled for a much lower amount. I’m going to do some further research before deciding for definite.
Well, that’s it for me this week. Hopefully week 22 is going to be another profitable week, but you never know. I hope it’s profitable for those of you who are also trading. And if you are trading, then may the Lord be with you. Always!
